Inspirational Poem Intro:
Summer's Glory
Azure of blue and streaking white
Rules us from its expanse above
We below, though small and many
Can look upon it and be merry
When the light, the ball of glory
Illuminates us with the blue
It mixes, mingles shades of glory
Causing all below to smile
Tells us to postpone our worries
No strokes of persuasion needed
All too ready are we to rest
Convinced indeed of warmth and glory
Bathed beneath in its kindly light
Blue and yellow do not compete
Each is glad to warm the heart
Meet the inner human need
To feel revived with pleasure’s lead
Mask it not those soothing strokes
Of light and warmth on resting limbs
Be glad of good cheer, uplifted too
As the light of glory chases you
Through the day that you may stay
And wait a while, a little longer
Before the shadows yawn awake
Affect the blue and dim the light
Tarry but a little longer, thankful
That’s all blue and yellow ask of you
